Busy Week

Rob has been busy today cleaning and re-organizing the toy closet - of course! He and the boys went through the toys and got rid of some to make room for new Christmas items. YOU DA MAN SNOOKIE!! I'm now in charge of going through Hannah's bin and down-sizing.
This past week has been so busy. I volunteered to be in charge of the music for the kids school Christmas musical, so I've been practicing with each grade level, the school as one large group, and having try-outs for solo parts. It's going to be great and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have also been busy getting our clinic's physician cards and gifts ready to mail and/or deliver. Rachel, wife of Eric (our new PT) and my good friend, helped stuff and label envelopes last week. This morning we wrapped all the gifts and put cute Thanksgiving tags on them...ready to deliver on Tuesday! We'll enjoy our time together delivering and visiting!!

No School Days

Last week was a fun week being that the boys only had school on Monday. We had lots of activity going on around here. The boys had a great time "sledding" down the stairs in a variety of ways. We made cut-out sugar cookies one morning and frosted them in the afternoon (and of course tast tested several). I had leftover red and gray frosting, so we did science experiments with them and added different colors of decorating dye to them and came up sith some really neat colors. On Thursday, the kids and I went to the farm and enjoyed a change a scenery. The boys swam on Thursday and some on Friday. They were playing with a water gun type toy and squirted the lightbulb above them...it shattered on them...no more swimming for them! They also enjoyed playing pirates on Papa Tata's boat outside, digging holes in the empty ditches, getting dirty and being loud! Hannah enjoyed playing with grammie's toys and watching cute shows for her age in t.v. Mom and I enjoyed visiting, which is rare without interuption, and making Thanksgiving plans.

Our Sunday

Sunday was a fun day for us. It started at 8am with the kids singing at their school a couple of songs in honor of Veteran's Day. This picture is precious to us. Jacob is on the left of Jeremiah and Danny on the right. Their dad was one of Rob's best friends growing up. Our families enjoy each other to this day. Rob remembers so well sitting next to Ben each Sunday at church.
The boys singing. Danny is above Jeremiah and Jacob is on the right edge.
After church we met my parents for brunch. Here's the kids doing a "normal" picture pose....whatever that means!
In the early evening, we enjoyed chocolate chip cookie muffins and ice-cream with our friends Eric and Rachel. Rachel's mom is visiting from the Nashville area...Hannah enjoyed playing cards with her.

Lazy Early Saturday Morning

We had a lazy early morning on Saturday. Rob and Jeremiah enjoyed
watching t.v. together and snuggling.
Micah and Hannah were watching a show downstairs
This is Hannah shortly after she woke up.
We had family photos late morning....we will be re-doing them because it was freezing and it rained off and on. That's REALLY bad for hair...especially mommy's! Poor Hannah was a popsicle; she was standing perfectly rigid and sucked in her ribs...poor baby!

Hannah...the explorer

Hannah's soon to turn three. I can tell by several things. She loves watching Dora the Explorer - the same age the boys were into those shows. If a kitty is missing, I'll know to look in the orange backpack...she's a hoot!

Papa Tata...Nap time

Hannah decided to put Papa Tata down for a nap. Dad said he needed a baby to sleep with and asked Hannah if she could be his baby. She said "No. I go get the babies for you!" She quickly disappeared upstairs and returned with a few babies, covered Papa Tata up and curled up next to him...so cute!

Sweet Jeremiah

My lovely children shared their colds with me...how thoughtful! I started feeling miserable late afternoon yesterday and by last night at 6:30pm, I went to bed. The kids were good and stayed in my room looking at books until Rob got home. After that, it's a blur. I feel a bit better today. As the boys were getting ready for school this morning, I asked Jeremiah if he had made his bed yet. He replied "no, not yet...I'm doing something more important." I knew he wouldn't say that unless it was true, so I dismissed it. Awhile later he came out of the office and handed me the picture above. He traced and colored it for me! Isn't that sweet...it's the both of us - see the K and J labels? He's so very thoughtful; it definitely cheered me up!!

The Cutest Sick Kids Around

Both Hannah and Micah are sick today. Hannah has had a fever off and on for 24 hours and Micah started not feeling well after school yesterday. I've spent most of the day either doing laundry or trying to make each one of them happy....and praying for our nation in between all of that!
Micah and I were in the middle of sorting through the books while Hannah napped this morning. I had just read a book to him and was looking for another. I turned my head and he was sound asleep! I couldn't believe it - he's never done anything like that before.
As you can see from the top picture, Hannah snuck off while I was getting Micah something. I decided to find her (assuming she was in a room with the door closed with a kitten - the norm). Boy! Was I wrong...she had gotten out my Oil of Olay and pampering herself and Pippy Longstocking. Girls will be girls!!

Micah's Kindergarten Celebration

Micah got to celebrate his birthday with his kndergarten classmates at Bethlehem Lutheran School today. Cupcakes are easiest for teachers to hand out, so I made a cupcake cake. Micah wanted a soccer theme...so here it is; he liked it!
After school, the kids and I are going to the home of one of Jeremiah's friends to play. We had fun doing the same last week - the boys and Hannah loved it!

Happy 6th Birthday Micah Bean!!

I can not believe Micah is 6 years old. I very easily remember snuggling with him in our bed during the night when he was just days old. He has grown up so much this past year! He is becoming a great man of prayer; he prays on the way to school, at lunch, and then at night with the rest of the family! What an awesome boy!!! He had such a wonderful time at his birthday party today; joyful, polite, and loved having his friends here. We had 18 children here (12 friends and their siblings) plus the parents, grandparents, and our awesome neighbor friends! Thanks to Rachel for being my moral support and making the blue "candy" for R2D2...you're truly a great friend!!
