Micah's 8th Birthday!!

My baby boy is 8 years old....Happy Birthday Micah Bean!!!  Here are some pictures of his "friends" party and also his family party.

 Micah's Swamp Cafe
 The "unplanned" activity - football
 Obstacle Course
He's such a goofball.  He blew out his candles once, but only 4 of them, so re-lit them and we had to sing all over again.  I wish you could have seen him do it and most importantly heard him tell us to "start the song over".  It was SO funny!

The following are from the night of his birthday.  Both Papa Tata and Grammie AND Papa Earle and Grandma Nina came.  We had a great time and laughed alot....of course!

Dear Samantha......

Micah's 2nd grade class has been practicing writing letters; the format, etc..  His teacher had a new niece that was born yesterday.  Mrs. Picker asked the kids to write her niece, Samantha, a letter with advice for the following areas: having a solid Christian life, doing well in school, and getting along with family.  Here is Micah's letter:  (It was even on stationary)

Dear Samantha,
to grow stronger in your faith, tell people about God.  One thing you can do to do well in school is do your best work.  One piece of advice about family is they will always care for you.
                                                                from,
                                                                Micah

Precious for sure!!

School Fall Fest

Jeremiah ran his first 5K in 27:11!!!  Rob was his running partner and was pleasantly surprised at Jeremiah's endurance - way to go!!  The whole family had a great time; bouncy house, bouncy obstacle course, face painting, and the cake walk - lots of fun!

Bryson, Jeremiah, and Jacob - seriously athletic friends

Taylor and Alayah just slid down opposite the ladder

Pumpkin patch

The girls and I escorted Micah's 2nd grade class to the pumpkin patch.  It was so fun, especially for Alayah and Mariah as they had never seen such a thing.  Here are some pictures:)

Jereniah's cast is OFF!!

Jeremiah got his cast off today!!  He's pretty excited...except for that his little arm is weak and somewhat stiff.  I know he had it in his head to get if off and then play football, but that is NOT happening - sorry buddy boy!!  He has a terrible bumpy rash from the cast that's actually painful, but I know that it will be totally fine soon.    Micah was being an assistant:)  He asked if he could stay home from school and go with us to see the cast being cut off.  I thought b/c of his interests - "sure, it's educational".  Here are a few pictures.

1st day of School

It was the first day of 2nd grade for Micah and 3rd grade for Jeremiah at Bethlehem Lutheran School.  Both boys reported that they had a very good day.  Jeremiah is impressed with Ms. Schulteiss' organization and loves that they will sing every day.  Micah enjoyed Mrs. Picker's calm personality and loves the classroom theme of monkeys.

Boys trip to Seattle

Papa Tata and Grammie took the boys on a trip this past weekend.  The left for the Seattle area on Friday, hopped on a train early Saturday morning, visited Uncle Tony's farm (picked fruit, veggies, etc..), went to a seafood farm (loved the gooey duck!), ate ice-cream for lunch, and LOVED it all!!!  Sunday they had a blast at the "Kids Day" Mariner's game.  The weekend will be remembered as the best summer thing ever:)  Thank you Papa Tata and Grammie!!!

New Yard!!

YEAH...GRASS!!

Jeremiah's 9th Birthday

Jeremiah's friends from school and baseball and cousins Solomon, Bella, and Mia came to celebrate with him.  He had a Secret Agent party with lots of activities planned...however; with that many athletic boys - no activities were played.   Lots of basketball and football played by all; well, almost all!  They had a great time and I'm so glad everyone made it.

My cousin Wendy, and her girls, came for a few days to visit.  I couldn't have done it without her!  First of all, we were preparing our yard for sod AND planning the b-day party.  I couldn't even decorate his cake by myself...my hands just wouldn't allow me to do it - WENDY COUSIN TO THE RESCUE!!!  She's also a caterer...which you can tell by the food display on the table - it was beautiful; and all for 9 yr. olds:)

Can't believe Jeremiah's 9 years old!  Not very many more years for us to be together...I've been thinking about that recently.  I love him so much and have so much to pour into him.  Oh boy, I hope I do a good job!  Sweet Blessing to you my incredibly wonderful son!!

Alayah's new hairo

I love Alayah's hair!  She loves it too and is so proud to show it off!  I did Mariah's hair also, but the rubber bands broke to soon and it just wasn't quite as cute as I was hoping.  (I think a big bow for her is cuter)

Kennell Family Vision

Our family vision is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. We will reflect the image of Christ by fulfilling opportunities to bless, build relationships, provide hope, and extend God's love to people of all nations.
"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
