I am a wife to Rob and mother to 5 beautiful children; Jeremiah, Micah, Hannah, Alayah, and Mariah. My heart's desire is to love God with all my being, honor and serve Rob, and train my children in the ways of the Lord.
Jeremiah ran his first 5K in 27:11!!! Rob was his running partner and was pleasantly surprised at Jeremiah's endurance - way to go!! The whole family had a great time; bouncy house, bouncy obstacle course, face painting, and the cake walk - lots of fun!
Bryson, Jeremiah, and Jacob - seriously athletic friends

Taylor and Alayah just slid down opposite the ladder
The girls and I escorted Micah's 2nd grade class to the pumpkin patch. It was so fun, especially for Alayah and Mariah as they had never seen such a thing. Here are some pictures:)
Micah and his very best friend Cooper

Micah helped Mariah go up the straw pyramid
Hannah and Taylor (Cooper's sister) going through the straw maze
Jeremiah got his cast off today!! He's pretty excited...except for that his little arm is weak and somewhat stiff. I know he had it in his head to get if off and then play football, but that is NOT happening - sorry buddy boy!! He has a terrible bumpy rash from the cast that's actually painful, but I know that it will be totally fine soon. Micah was being an assistant:) He asked if he could stay home from school and go with us to see the cast being cut off. I thought b/c of his interests - "sure, it's educational". Here are a few pictures.
Our family vision is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. We will reflect the image of Christ by fulfilling opportunities to bless, build relationships, provide hope, and extend God's love to people of all nations. "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
Rob & I grew up wanting to adopt. We both had close friends, who were more like family, who were adopted; maybe that's why. We feel that part of our calling is through adoption. We have prayed for years asking the Lord when the timing would be right to adopt. After having Hannah, our third biological child, we felt that we were done having children; that we would now add children to our family who needed a family to call their own. There are so many orphans who need a family; a dad & mom to take care of them and love them, and siblings to grow up with and enjoy playing and learning to love each other. We chose to be that family. We started the adoption process in mid-January of '09 and came home from Ethiopia May 7th, 2010 with Alayah Grace Mewded Kennell 4 1/2 and Mariah Joy Buchu Kennell 2. What a special Mother's Day gift for Kimberly!
