Fun Times at the Kennell Household

(oops! This picture belongs in the middle)

We have super busy at our house! After Hannah's birthday party ending 2008, we've been on the move in our adoption process from Ethiopia!! It typically takes 12-18 months before we are home with our children, but you never know! Maybe sooner... Certificates have been ordered, fingerprinting takes place this week, papers are being filled out, typed out, signed, and notarized...the list goes on and on. I know I'm wierd, but I like the process of "paper pregnancy", as they call it.

These are some fun pictures of Jeremiah's first basketball game. Below is a picture of his buddies Danny and Jacob ( and of course Jeremiah).

Here's Jeremiah going for the ball! He's so cute..intense and fast!

Here are the kids helping daddy prepare the floors for laminate wood flooring. It is turning out beautifully - Great job Rob!!! Alot of it is done, so I'll add the final product soon.

We had the priviledge of celebrating Leslie's birthday early (as we were celebrating a late Christmas) when she & Tony came over. Here's her b-day cake. My first attempt at "swirling".

Happy 3rd Birthday Hannah!!

I can't believe it's been this long since I've blogged. Crazy busy around here!! Here are some pictures of Hannah's pink ballerina Birthday. We had friends and family come eat cake and ice cream. Hannah said she had a very good time! This video of her cracks me up....she's a bit shy...but only for singing, not for getting the job done! Silly girl!! Oh yes, she does have a black eye. She pulled the T.V. down on herself Sunday...we still are amazed that's all that happened to her. Poor thing...she's still cute:)

This is a video from our Christmas at the farm. Papa Tata and Grammie had lots of snow for sledding...farm style! The boys had SO much fun!!

Thanksgiving

Add Image
The kids were very excited about Thanksgiving break! We had 2 full days at Grammie and Papa Tata's house. One day swimming, ALL day, with cousins and the other day swimming, most of the day, and visiting Uncle Tony and Auntie Leslie. We all enjoyed our time with family and chance to rest a bit. (Click on the arrow below for see a message from the kids)

The kids performed a little play for Rob & I the night before Thanksgiving...they're a hoot!!

Busy Week

Rob has been busy today cleaning and re-organizing the toy closet - of course! He and the boys went through the toys and got rid of some to make room for new Christmas items. YOU DA MAN SNOOKIE!! I'm now in charge of going through Hannah's bin and down-sizing.
This past week has been so busy. I volunteered to be in charge of the music for the kids school Christmas musical, so I've been practicing with each grade level, the school as one large group, and having try-outs for solo parts. It's going to be great and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have also been busy getting our clinic's physician cards and gifts ready to mail and/or deliver. Rachel, wife of Eric (our new PT) and my good friend, helped stuff and label envelopes last week. This morning we wrapped all the gifts and put cute Thanksgiving tags on them...ready to deliver on Tuesday! We'll enjoy our time together delivering and visiting!!

No School Days

Last week was a fun week being that the boys only had school on Monday. We had lots of activity going on around here. The boys had a great time "sledding" down the stairs in a variety of ways. We made cut-out sugar cookies one morning and frosted them in the afternoon (and of course tast tested several). I had leftover red and gray frosting, so we did science experiments with them and added different colors of decorating dye to them and came up sith some really neat colors. On Thursday, the kids and I went to the farm and enjoyed a change a scenery. The boys swam on Thursday and some on Friday. They were playing with a water gun type toy and squirted the lightbulb above them...it shattered on them...no more swimming for them! They also enjoyed playing pirates on Papa Tata's boat outside, digging holes in the empty ditches, getting dirty and being loud! Hannah enjoyed playing with grammie's toys and watching cute shows for her age in t.v. Mom and I enjoyed visiting, which is rare without interuption, and making Thanksgiving plans.

Our Sunday

Sunday was a fun day for us. It started at 8am with the kids singing at their school a couple of songs in honor of Veteran's Day. This picture is precious to us. Jacob is on the left of Jeremiah and Danny on the right. Their dad was one of Rob's best friends growing up. Our families enjoy each other to this day. Rob remembers so well sitting next to Ben each Sunday at church.
The boys singing. Danny is above Jeremiah and Jacob is on the right edge.
After church we met my parents for brunch. Here's the kids doing a "normal" picture pose....whatever that means!
In the early evening, we enjoyed chocolate chip cookie muffins and ice-cream with our friends Eric and Rachel. Rachel's mom is visiting from the Nashville area...Hannah enjoyed playing cards with her.

Lazy Early Saturday Morning

We had a lazy early morning on Saturday. Rob and Jeremiah enjoyed
watching t.v. together and snuggling.
Micah and Hannah were watching a show downstairs
This is Hannah shortly after she woke up.
We had family photos late morning....we will be re-doing them because it was freezing and it rained off and on. That's REALLY bad for hair...especially mommy's! Poor Hannah was a popsicle; she was standing perfectly rigid and sucked in her ribs...poor baby!
